The Companies and concessionaires require passports and visas from the crew with, at least, one year of validity from the day you embark. A Green Card or a work permit is not necessary to work on board, since the ships are registered in a foreign country and you'll be working in international waters.
The document issued by the Company's interviewer coming from abroad, surrendered at the end of the contract; A letter from where you are currently working, when it's the case; Passport; Photos: 5 cm x 7 cm; Among others.
Visas: C1-D Crew and Crew in transit and B2 Visitor. In case you wish to stay in the United States, you need a student or working permit.
